RULES
Governing: Play shall be governed by the 2023 USGA Rules of Golf and by the local rules listed on the back of the scorecard, including the sprinkler rule. If in doubt, call the Golf Shop. In match play format, you (or your opponent) may concede a stroke, a hole, or even the match to each other. If your next stroke has been conceded, you are permitted to putt out, unless this will help your partner (for example, by showing them the line for their putt).
Handicaps: Tournament handicaps will be the lowest USGA index from the month of June 2024. Members will be 90% of handicap, Guests will be 80% of handicap. Please be advised that all handicaps are subject to modification at any time by the Handicap Committee and there is no appeal from any modification.

FORMAT
Match Play: There are eight teams in each flight and each team will play the other seven teams in a nine hole match, for a total of seven matches. All matches will be a net four-ball match play. The top two teams from each flight that score the most points will advance to the Champions Shootout on Saturday along with two wildcard teams (per below). In the event of a tie, the nine hole match between the tying teams will determine the flight winner. If still tied a drawing will be conducted.
Points: Nine points will be awarded for each nine hole match as follows:
-
1 point for winning a hole
-
½ point for tying a hole
-
½ bonus point will be awarded for winning a match.
-
If a team is unable to play their match, their opponent will be awarded 6 points.
There are 9 ½ possible points per match for a tournament total of 66 ½ points.
Champions Shootout: The Champions Shootout will take place on Saturday at 4PM (spectators welcomed!) and will be an alternating stroke format with handicaps. Sixteen teams will compete for the Rattler championship, the flight winners, flight runners-up and the two wild card teams.
-
Teams will be eliminated on a per hole basis beginning with hole #1.
-
The remaining 2 teams will play holes #8 and #9 in aggregate for the championship.
Ties:
-
All ties between teams looking to advance within the Champions Shootout will be settled by a continuous chip off of one chip and one putt alternating between the member and guest.
-
Ties for the overall champions will be determined by a sudden death playoff on hole #9, repeating until a champion team is determined.
